Celebrating 20 Years of Style, Service, and Sight: Insight Eyeworks Turns 20!

This May, Insight Eyeworks proudly celebrates 20 incredible years of redefining the eyewear experience in Aurora and beyond. What began as a boutique vision for curated, high-end eyewear has evolved into a full-service destination for stylish frames, cutting-edge lenses, and compassionate eye care — all under one roof.

At the heart of Insight Eyeworks is licensed optician Joe Bushara, whose passion for eyewear spans more than three decades. With experience across Canada and the U.S., Joe has become known for sourcing exclusive, handcrafted frames from around the world — always staying ahead of the latest trends and technologies. His vision? To help clients see better and look amazing doing it.

Working alongside Joe is Dr. Kar Sakhichand, a dedicated optometrist who has been serving families across Newmarket and the York Region since 2003. Known for his comprehensive approach to eye care and friendly, attentive service, Dr. Kar is a trusted part of the Insight experience.

And of course, no visit to Insight Eyeworks is complete without a warm welcome from our staff. Eleni Salemi — Joe’s “right hand” and a vital part of the team since 2006. Her three decades in the industry, keen eye for design, and cheerful personality help make every visit personal and enjoyable.

Over the past two decades, many talented and passionate individuals have contributed to the Insight Eyeworks story. Each one — whether they stayed for a season or for years — played an important role in shaping the unique, caring environment our clients know and love today.
